Challenge
Our challenge on this project was threefold. Firstly, we needed to simply yet robustly design effective, systemised sit-to-stand bench workstations to ensure desk stability, even when extended to the maximum standing position. Secondly, we also needed to ensure a high level of customisation to adhere to the colours, dimensions and sizes requested by the client in addition to employing “frameless” screen designs, customised fabrics and privacy screens. Finally, we also needed to creatively blend the wider furniture stack including manager desks, tables, canteen tables, storage, task and breakout chairs into the unique architectural environment.
Solution
Our solution was informed by close partnerships with our client and FKM Group, who visited our factory to familiarise themselves with our process and capabilities, creating clear goals for us to achieve. We developed a tailored solution by customising our Elements range of office furniture with specific colours and dimensions that reflected the energy of the unique building and location. This was complemented with the Elements frameless screen design, personalised with made to-order Camira ‘Blazer’ fabric-covered privacy panels with contrasting colours on either side.
In addition, we also designed, manufactured and installed manager desks, meeting tables and task chairs and stools throughout the building, and outfitted social and breakout areas such as the canteen with tables and chairs. Finally, we installed floor-to-ceiling storage walls to maximise storage space without bulk, mimicking the grand windows and doors offering two-storey views onto the Liffey.
